They are hard to scratch, but if the surface is scratched it can be easily renewed since Corian is solid and uniform from surface to surface. Corian is also non-porous which makes it stain resistant as liquids will not penetrate and seep in, so spillages just need to be wiped away with a damp cloth. The non-porous surface also prevents the growth of mould, mildew and bacteria associated with some other worktops.
