Answers About Apollo Magna

  1. What is Apollo® Magna?

Apollo® Magna replaces the popular 6mm Apollo® Solid Surface worktop product. With solid, homogenous 6mm surface and edges, 35mm chipboard core and a 1mm moisture resistant laminated sheet to the underside, Apollo® Magna looks and performs much the same as its 12-13mm counterparts and retains its low cost affordable price.
  2. Can chipped or scratched Apollo® Magna be repaired?

Yes, Apollo® Magna is 'repairable' which means that surface scratches or difficult stains can be easily removed through routine maintenance. More serious damage can be repaired professionally. Full details are provided in the care & maintenance information provided with your worktops.
  3. What can stain Apollo® Magna?

Although Apollo® Magna composite material is non porous and impervious to stains, care should be taken to avoid contact with substances such as nail varnish, marker pens, paint stripper, oven cleaner and other strong chemicals. If an accident occurs wash away immediately with plenty of soapy water.
  4. How do I clean Apollo® Magna worktops?

For everyday cleaning, use our specially formulated cleaner (supplied in your care kit) or a mild kitchen detergent with a damp cloth. Buff dry with a soft cloth to prevent any water marks. Avoid chemicals or harsh cleaners.
  5. Do I need to fit a sub-base with Apollo® Magna Worktops?

Apollo® Magna composite worktops can be fitted directly on top of your kitchen base units. If you wish to provide an additional sub-base it is your choice, but is unnecessary in most circumstances as Apollo® Magna worktops are not that heavy.
  6. Can I place hot pans on the Apollo® Magna surface?

No. Hot pans will mark or damage the worktop surface. ALWAYS use a hot pan platter or trivet (with rubber feet) to ensure your worktops maintain their beautiful finish.
  7. Can I cut and prepare directly on the Apollo® Magna worktops?

No. ALWAYS use a chopping board when preparing or chopping food on your Apollo® worktop.
  8. Do you provide Apollo® Magna colour samples?

Yes. Colour images onscreen can sometimes be misleading and it is best to order a sample of your chosen colour to confirm you are happy with your choice. We can provide Apollo Magna colour samples at a cost of £1 per sample which you can order via the sample order page.
